Your payment failed: past due and the 7 day grace period

What the Past due label means, how long you have, and how to fix it.

Last updated

On your dashboard a service with a failed payment shows Past due. The banner says something like: Your card payment failed. Pay now or update your payment method. Pay by the end of a date or this service will be cancelled. For PayPal it says Your PayPal payment failed. If you pay each period yourself it says Your renewal is overdue.

You are not cut off straight away. You have 7 days, up to the end of the day in the banner and in our email.

What to do

  1. Press Pay now on the banner, or use the button in our email. See How to pay.
  2. PayPal payments: if the pay page says to contact us, write to [email protected] and we will sort it out with you.
  3. After you pay we send a thank you email, and the label goes away.

If you do not pay in time

At the end of that day, or shortly after, the service is cancelled and your access is switched off. We email you to say so. You can order the service again from your dashboard whenever you like.

If that did not work, contact us and tell us: which service you have (Plex, Emby, Silo or AppBox), which device and app you are using, what the screen says (the exact words), and when it happened. See Contact us.
