Fixes for the commonest Silo and Silo app problems.

The invite page or the link does not work
If the TestFlight page says it is full or does not work, or the link does not load, tell us and we will help.
"This app requires a newer version"
Update your device. You need iOS 18, tvOS 26 or Android 7.0 or newer. This is the most common reason an app will not install.
The app asks for a server address and does not accept it
Copy the Silo address exactly as it appears in your welcome email or dashboard. If the app wants a full address, put https:// in front of it.
Sign in fails
- Check you are using the username and password you chose at checkout, not your Plextreme email and password.
- Passwords are case sensitive.
- Use Forgot password on the Silo sign in page if needed.
The TV asks for a server and will not take it
Do the setup on your phone or in a web browser first, then sign in on the TV. See Silo on Android TV or Silo on Fire TV.
Silo does not show in Google Play
Search for "Silo Media Player" by Silo Media. Check your device runs Android 7.0 or newer and that Google Play is up to date. Some devices, such as Fire TV, cannot use Google Play, and a particular TV may not offer it. In those cases use the Downloader steps on Silo on Android TV or Silo on Fire TV.
You can sign in on the web but not in the app
Tell us which device and which app version.
Downloader problems
- The code was not found or the address does not load: check the digits or the address, or try the other one on our page.
- The app was not installed, or there was a problem parsing the package: your device is too old (it needs Android 7.0 or newer) or this is the wrong app for it.
- The install button does nothing: "Install unknown apps" is not switched on for the app you are using (Downloader or your browser). Switch it on for that one app, install, then switch it off.
- Android says it cannot install an update on top of the app: uninstall the Silo app and install it again. Use the same place each time, either Google Play or the address on our page. Copies from different places may not update over each other.
A debug build misbehaves
Debug builds can behave differently and update less often than a finished app. Tell us the device and what you were doing.
A title does not play well
Tell us the title, the device and what you see.
