Plex shares questions
What is a Plex share?
A Plex share is an invitation to someone else's Plex server. As a guest, the libraries on that server appear in your own Plex app. With Plextreme, the server is ours and the library is the same one behind Emby and Silo.
Do I need my own Plex account?
Yes. You are invited by the email address of your Plex account, and you watch through the Plex app you already use.
How much is a Plex share?
£9.99 a month, with 2 streams at once included. Each extra stream is £2.50 a month. There is no contract.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 24 hours. You add a payment method when you start (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal) and the first £9.99 is taken when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Plex and Emby share one trial per customer.
How do I set it up?
Order the Plex plan and give us the email address of your Plex account. We send a Plex invite to that email. Accept it in Plex and our libraries appear in your app, usually within minutes.
What can I watch it on?
Anything with a Plex app: smart TVs, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, phones, tablets, consoles and any web browser at app.plex.tv.
Is there 4K, Dolby Vision and Atmos?
Yes, there are 4K titles with Dolby Vision and Atmos and no quality caps. If picture and sound matter most to you, look at Silo too: its library has full Blu-ray remuxes with lossless audio included as standard.

What if a film or show I want is missing?
Request it. On Plex and Emby you ask our Discord bot; Silo has requests built into the app. Requested titles are added to the library for everyone.
How do I pay, and how do I cancel?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Prices are in pounds, and your bank converts if your card is in another currency. Yourself, from your dashboard: open the service, choose Options, then Cancel this service. Billing stops straight away and there is no contract or minimum term.
Plex or Silo: which should I pick?
Pick Plex if you already live in the Plex app. If you do not mind switching apps, Silo has a longer 7-day trial, up to 5 profiles and requests built in.
